30 Day Self-Love Challenge


When you are living a very fast pace and busy life it is easy to let your “me time” slip away. This challenge of 30 days of self-love is intended to help you relax and take a moment for yourself or with someone to help bring you back to your center. Some days are easier to accomplish and others may be more challenging but none of them are impossible. We took a few ideas from other self-love/self-care list and added a few of our own to help diversify the 30 days you choose to take time for yourself.

  1. Go for a long walk – Take time to appreciate your surroundings.

  2. Declutter one area of your life – Whether it is your junk drawer or car glovebox, remove unnecessary clutter.

  3. YOU DO YOU! – Put on a face mask, take a long bath/shower, or give yourself a pedicure. Do something that relaxes you.

  4. Craft/DIY something for someone else – Make a card, paint a picture, knit a scarf, whatever you choose that you can create.

  5. Go to bed early – When you feel tired, sleep. Everything will be waiting for you tomorrow.

  6. Eat well and drink water – Spend the day making good food decisions and drink lots of water.

  7. Banish bad habits – We all have them. Spend the day doing your best to avoid your habit.

  8. Read – Open a book or turn the pages of a magazine. Give yourself a good 30 minutes or so.

  9. Make a list of your goals for the week – Check them off as you accomplish them.

  10. DANCE PARTY! – Turn on some tunes and let loose for a bit.

  11. Purge – If your closet has been overflowing or you pantry is stuffed, give it a good clearing out.

  12. No complaining – This might be the hardest day. Give this article a read because it has some good tips. 

  13. Be Thankful – After a day of no complaining go ahead and make a list of the people and things you are thankful for. Maybe even go so far as to let someone know just how thankful you are for them.

  14. Spend time with someone you love – It may be a friend, family member, your kids even or your significant other. Make time for you and someone.

  15. Enjoy nature – Whether you walk through a park, go for a hike or sit on the beach take time to appreciate your surroundings in nature.

  16. Compliment someone – How good does it feel when someone compliments you? Pretty good right. If you see someone that catches you eye because of their clothing, hair, makeup, whatever, let them know.

  17. Disconnect from social media – Social media has become a habit for a lot of people and for some their job requires it but try to stay away today. No double tapping, likes or posts today.

  18. SWEAT – Feeling like a work out? We do. Extend your run, do those squats or hit up an intense yoga session. Detox your body with exercise.

  19. Write down five things that went well today – It is easy to dwell on negativity so try and focus on the good that happened today.

  20. Don’t Spend – Can you go a full day without spending any money? It’s a hard task with the accessibility of online shopping but give it a try. You may surprise yourself. Fun fact- this is one of the ways we were able to save for our first house!

  21. Try a new food – You may be cooking a new recipe or going out to a restaurant but try something you never have before.

  22. Reach out to a friend – That person you keep meaning to text or call is waiting. Check in and see how they are doing.

  23. Journal – Throughout the day or at the end of the day. Write down your thoughts and feelings or something special you hope to remember.

  24. No TV or streaming – If you like to turn The Office on while you are getting ready for work or are halfway through binging something new, give it a rest today. Everything can be recorded or will still be there waiting for you tomorrow.

  25. Practice deep breathing – There are so many helpful posts on this if needed but take a few minutes to relax and bring yourself back to your center and clear your mind. Find a great help here

  26. YOU DO YOU – Yes, again. If you have made it this far you deserve to do something that makes you happy.

  27. Clean – Have you been avoiding cleaning the fridge? When was the last time you took a damp cloth to the baseboards? Pick what you have been putting off cleaning and do it!

  28.  Write down goals – Long term, short term, maybe it is just to finish the last few days but make yourself a potential timeline for your goals.

  29. Let the little things go – Someone might cut you off today driving or snag your parking spot but take a deep breath and let it go. Don’t let someone take up space in your head that they don’t deserve.

  30. Make a list – List everything that makes you happy. Silly things, people, events, anything that brings you joy. There are so many things in life to enjoy.
