DIY HEART STAMP

DIY HEART STAMP

For those brave enough to let their kids use paint, this is a fun little art project for Valentine’s Day. Even better is you probably already have everything you need to do this.

What You’ll Need:

  • 1 cardboard paper towel tube, cut in half or 2 cardboard TP tubes
  • Acrylic paint in various colors
  • Something to put pain on, I used a plastic plate
  • Paper to stamp on. I used a brown paper gift bag.

I don’t have a particular brand of paint I like best. I usually go by the color I am looking for or what is on sale. Acrylic paint is not very expensive to begin with but a sale never hurt anyone. I already had the colors I used at home but specifically they were Craft Smart in Fuchsia, Martha Stewart Crafts in Poodle Skirt, Craft Smart in white, and FolkArt Metallic in Gold.

How To:

Using your hands, mold the tubes into a shape of a heart. It does not have to be perfect, just the general shape.

On a plastic plate or whatever surface you plan to put your paint, squeeze out enough to fit the tube/stamp.

Gently dip one side of each tube into the paint.

Stamp the paint onto your desired surface. Be patient and let it dry fully before displaying.
