DIY SENSORY BAGS
In the midst of quarantine, I began to run out of cool things to do with the kids. Apart from watching way too much TV I wanted then to do something creative but also educational for Nate as I’m homeschooling while trying to keep up with everyday life.
To make these all you will need is water, flour, food coloring, and some ziplock bags. This is quick and easy to make and provided it doesn’t make a mess it is a lot of fun! Hopefully you also already have everything you need at home to make these.
Measure 1 cup of flour into a large bowl.
Prepare 1 cup of water and slowly mix it into the flour. You may not use all the water and that ok. You want the flour to be liquidy but lumps are ok.
Divide the flour mixture evenly into 4-5 quart size ziplock bags. If you first put the ziplock bags into a large cup it can make pouring easier.
Add food coloring of your choice to each bag.
Seal the bag with as little air as possible and massage the color in to give color to the flour mixture.
Flatten out the bag and begin to draw or write on the bag with your finger.
