Garlic and Herb Seared Salmon

Garlic and Herb Seared Salmon

This is so delicious and easy to make. It is crispy on the outside but perfectly cooked on the inside. The garlic and herbs perfectly blend with the lemony butter finish.

Our son can be a very picky eater and only recently began eating fish. The key to him eating it is that it has to be crispy. Toddlers, am I right? So as any parent of a picky eater knows, if you find something they like that is good for them, make it well and make it often. We make this twice a month for our little dude.

Garlic and Herb Seared Salmon

Our household favorite salmon recipe is here and its delicious. You'll want to make it too!

Ingredients

  • 4 approximately 4-7 ounces each salmon filets, without skin
  • 3 tablespoons lemon juice divided
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 8 gloves garlic minced
  • 4 tablespoons fresh chopped parsley
  • Half a lemon cut into slices
  • salt and pepper to taste

  1. Pat salmon filets dry with a paper towel.
  2. Season with salt and pepper and drizzle 1-2 teaspoons lemon juice onto the salmon.
  3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add salmon, pressing down on it lightly to sear. About 3-4 minutes or until crispy and golden.
  4. Flip and sear the other side on the salmon for about 2 minutes.
  5. Add butter, garlic, 3 tablespoons parsley, remaining lemon juice and lemon slices.
  6. Cook an additional 1-2 minutes or until salmon reaches your desired doneness (we make sure the temperature inside is about 137 degrees).
  7. Garnish with remaining parsley and cooked lemon slices. Drizzle sauce on the salmon and enjoy immediately.
