Carefully cut the bacon into 1/2 inch to 1 inch pieces.
Heat a large skillet and add the pieces of bacon in to cook. You may have to do this in two batches.
When the bacon has finished cooking, place it on a paper towel lined plate to remove any extra grease.
Save 2 tbsp of the bacon fat/oil and place it in a large pot on medium high heat.
Put 2 corn kernels in the pot and cover.
While those are heating up, place the bacon in a bowl with the maple syrup. Gently toss or stir to make sure all of the pieces are covered.
When the two pieces pop, the oil is ready. Remove from heat and add the remaining kernels.
Return pot to the stove at medium heat and gently move the pot over it while partly covered. The popcorn will begin to pop.
When all the kernels have popped, place the popcorn in a large bowl and add in the maple bacon. Enjoy!
